Chateau Margaux is a must go for me during our Bordeaux winery tour in Feb. Not only because it is one of the 1st growth, Margaux is always one of my favorite regions from Bordeaux. The aroma of Margaux wine is usually very elegant and romantic! Of course, just like Chateau Haut Brion and Chateau d’Yquem, we also got to taste the wine! Same as Chateau d’Yquem, we tasted the 2008 vintage of the Chateau Margaux and Pavillon Rouge du Chateau Margaux. Although still very young, the aroma is already very pronounced with lots of floral, and it’s very silky on the palate. No wonder it is described as Cleopatra (埃及妖后) in the manga “Drop of God” (神之水滴)!
