We are in the middle of July, and the temperature is rising, this could be bad news for your and your beloved bottle.  Wine can be tainted in anything over 21 degrees and when it is in a temperature over 26.5 degrees, you are cooking it.  This can only leave you with all sorts of unpleasant sensations.  You should treat your wine like ice cream, if you don’t want it to melt, store it in the right temperature, and do it quickly.  Run home right after you buy it.  If you go into the store, and the store is muggy and warm, don’t even bother with their wine selection.

When you arrive home don’t store you wine on top of the fridge, or close to a window.  Keep it in the fridge if you don’t have a cellar or a cool spot in the house.
